THIS FRIDAY, October 13th, is our FIRST Little Theatre of the year, featuring LUMINOUS, the ACA show choir, with special performances from Musical Theatre class. PRIOR to the show, concessions will be available including hot dogs, candy, soda, and water. Tickets are available at the door only for $3 per person. This is going to be a great show! Thank you in advance for supporting the arts at ACA.



We have posted our Debt Relief Matching Challenge to the ACA website and want to encourage you to talk this up to your friends and family. Tickets are on sale now in the school office!  Adults are $10, Students/Children $7.  

Production dates and times are:

November 9, 10, & 11 at 7:00 pm

November 11 at 2:00 pm

November 12 at 3:00 pm

This is a family friendly production but may be unsuitable for children younger than 5 years old.

POSTERS and POSTCARDS are now available to distribute and display. PLEASE help us advertise this exciting ACA production.


The Hen House is sponsoring a Fall Fling at Firey Trails on Friday, October 20, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.  Cost is $7 per person with a maximum of $35 per family.  The evening will include: hay ride, bonfire, volleyball, table games, face painting, s’mores, hot apple cider, playground, & farm animal petting zoo.  There will be indoor & outdoor seating available, but you can bring your own lawn chairs (and even your dinner if you’d like!).  Tickets are on sale now, before and after school in the ACA lobby.


We are on a campaign to make sure the “best-kept secret in Tulsa” is no longer a secret! Help us promote ACA via social media with your photos and content ideas. Mrs. Aspenson and Mrs. Bailey are heading up this social media campaign using Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.  Remember to LIKE and SHARE our stories and pictures that show up in your feed. Thank you for helping!  Please see the attached flyer for the “how to” information and help us get the word out!


We are expecting to receive the Permit from the City of Tulsa for our fence project any day now. We are hopeful that it will be in by Friday. If it is, we are a go for Saturday. If not, we will be postponed and will keep you informed either way. So, we are still calling out to all parents with fence building or general building experience. We are putting together a team of helpers (high school students and adults) for the ACA version of a modern-day barn-raising event. We have received a donation for a new vinyl fence to be constructed around the front of the Annex. We currently plan to come together to construct the fence on Saturday, October 14th beginning at 9:00 a.m. If you have experience with fences and would like to lend a hand, please contact John Ahrens at [email protected] so we can put together a list of helpers. Once this project is complete, we can begin moving our Agriculture projects, install our Gaga Pit and begin other fun projects, greatly expanding our playground area for the school and providing additional security and better-looking frontage on Sheridan.


Did you miss the 15% off sale on yearbooks?  Don’t fret too much!  If you order your yearbook in October, you will get 10% off the regular price of $35!

Each person who purchases a yearbook will get to personalize two pages in their yearbook with their own photos, quotes, & memories of the year.  (you can purchase additional pages to personalize at a very minimal cost)  This is such a fun way to make the yearbook truly yours!

On Thursday, October 12, the Houses will be having a “Cleaning Day” at school.  To allow them additional time, we will adjust the secondary class schedule a bit.  Please see the adjusted schedule attached below.  Secondary students may wear Spirit Wear for Cleaning Day.


Next Wednesday, October 18th, we will be giving the EXPLORE Test to all of our 8th graders and 9th graders who are new to ACA.  This is the test we use to determine 8th grade reading level for the driver’s permit, so it is important for every 8th grader and new 9th grader to be here that day and to be on time.  The test will begin at 8:00 and should be done about 11:30.  Please call the office if you have any questions.


Many parents and patrons have asked throughout the years when we are going to allow ads to be published in our program.  We are excited to tell inform you THIS IS THE YEAR! We are now accepting program ads for our fall musical, “A Christmas Carol - the musical”.  Lisa Moore is the parent who puts our programs together and attached below is an order form outlining prices, sizes, etc. The DEADLINE for payment of ad space is FRIDAY, OCT. 20TH. Payments are to be made in the school office and checks made out to Augustine Christian Academy. All ads are full color and must be in camera-ready digital format of jpg or pdf.  Please look at the attached form for more information. If you have a business, know someone who has a business, or are a  parent or family member that wants to celebrate your child’s performance in the musical, then you do NOT want to miss out on this opportunity. The dvd’s from our summer production of Disney’s “Sleeping Beauty, Kids” is now available in the school office.  If you ordered a “Sleeping Beauty” dvd or photo cd, please stop by the office and pick it up.


This Friday, October 13, is the end of First Quarter.  Please watch for report cards to come home with your students on Wednesday, October 18th.


The Seniors are preparing for their next big fundraiser, Chili Night! They need your help to make this event a success. Before the doors open, we will have 5 judges who will be taste testing all the Chili that will be available to eat! But before they can judge, we need YOU! If you would like to participate in the Chili Competition portion of the evening, please email Mrs. Cathey at [email protected] to enter by October 18th. Please give details of what your chili is called and what is in it.  Parents, students, and family members may all enter! We are looking for gluten free, spicy, sweet, bean chicken, Mexican and any other type of chili you can think of! What are the requirements? One full crockpot of chili. That’s it! Chili should be brought to ACA on Friday, October 27th by 4:00. You will get your crockpot back!  

Dinner service begins at 6:00 in the great room, pay at the door, no pre-sale needed:

$5 for  Downright Deep Bowl of Chili

$7 for Endless Bowl of Chili (may have as many servings as you would like)

$1 drinks (IBC Root Beer, Water, Delicious Punch and pop)

1st, 2nd and 3rd place Chili Winners will be announced at 7:00 and the dessert auction begins. Every Senior is bringing a dessert of some kind: pies, cake balls, ice cream cake, cookies, etc. There will be over 20 options to choose from.  Purchase a dessert to take home or share with your table! New This Year: Enter in the Table Art Competition. Draw/color on the table cloths and before the dessert auction is over, we will announce the winner.

Plan to join us in this awesome family event!


Join a group of ACA moms to pray for our school, our kids, our teachers & administration, and our families.  They will be meeting on Thursday mornings at 8:15 in room 104 (off of the Great Room across from the 2nd grade classroom).  There are no commitments… just come when you are able to join them!  If you arrive early (before 8:00) you can grab a cup of coffee in the school lobby!


Join us each morning when dropping off your child(ren) for school. Take an extra few minutes to park and start your day with some great fellowship as well as a great cup of Java Dave’s coffee. We have been enjoying these mornings with our teachers and parents and we would love to see you there. The coffee bar is open in the lobby between 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. each morning.
