An entire week of Spirit Wear?  YES!  The 8th Grade class is sponsoring a Spirit Wear Week December 4th - 8th.  To participate in Spirit Wear Week, students must purchase a wristband to wear during Spirit Wear week and the wristbands are on sale NOW in the school office or may be purchased from one of the 8th grade class officers.  A wristband for the whole week costs $10, or a wristband for two days only costs $5.  The proceeds will go toward the 8th Grade Trip in the spring.


Our “Christmas Quilt” program is coming up quickly. We will gather together as a school family to express God’s blessings through a “patchwork” of songs and scripture. Your students have been practicing Christmas songs, as well as the song origins, and scripture memory and they will be sharing what they have learned on Friday, December 8th from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Evergreen Baptist Church (located at 10301 E 111th St. S. in Bixby). Students are to arrive at 6:15. You will not want to miss this exciting evening celebrating Christmas!  The program will be followed by a time of fellowship together.

Each year, at the Christmas Quilt program, our parents honor our amazing teachers by taking an offering to provide their Christmas Bonus. Please pray about how you would like to bless the staff at ACA this Christmas.


If you or someone near and dear to you are looking for a great place to give as we wind down the year, please consider helping us secure a strong foundation for ACA as we move into another 20 years! As a reminder, an amazing opportunity has been presented to ACA by a Tulsa-based Foundation. We have been issued a $650,000 Matching Challenge to help erase all of the debt currently held by Augustine Christian Academy. We have over $15,000 already contributed to this exciting campaign through direct donations as well as employer match gifts! Thank You, to those of you who have already acted on this call to action.

How does this work? Ask yourself who you know that may be in a position to assist us with this challenge. They may be an individual who has seen the fruit of the good works happening at ACA, or they may work for an organization that supports education, the arts, STEM, and/or a Classical Education. Mrs. Woods will be meeting with the parents of her 5th grade students on Friday, December 8th, before the Christmas Quilt program.  Please arrive at 6:15, drop off your child in the auditorium, and join Mrs. Woods to learn about the spring Science Fair, the 5th Grade Trip, and the Grammar School Graduation.  You will want to attend and get all of the details on these 2nd semester events.


On Wednesday & Thursday next week, December 6th & 7th, we will have a special class schedule for our secondary classes.  Please see the Special Activity Schedule attached below.


The East Coast travelers are starting a fundraiser with “Fun Pasta”. We are excited to sell Fun Pasta because there is a large selection of items, great price points, and fun products for everyone. These can be great Christmas gifts too! The link below will take you to our page. When you go to check out you may choose to support just one student or the entire group.

We thank you for your supporting our students’ field study opportunity. This field study will take our students to Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Washington D. C. and Williamsburg/Jamestown. They will have the chance to see history come to life and hopefully gain a deeper appreciation for this amazing country we live in. We would also welcome donations toward the costs of the trip!  Any gift large or small will go a long way.  Thank you for considering a purchase of Fun Pasta!

The monthly lunch order form is attached below and is also available in the school office.  There are only two weeks of lunches offered in December.  On Monday & Tuesday, December 18th & 19th, students will need to pack their lunch.  Please notice that we will have new Wednesday lunches in December with a Nacho Bar on December 6th and a Taco Bar on December 13th.  If you are ordering for the month, please turn in your order form and payment by December 1st.


Secondary Final Exams will be given on Monday & Tuesday, December 18 - 19 for students required to take their final exams.  Students in grades 6 - 12 may be exempted from a final exam if they have no more than 2 absences in that class during the semester (3 tardies count as one absence), have a B or better average in the class, and have no missing work for that class.  Teachers will inform their classes who must take the final exam or they may put the information on Gradenet.  Student taking final exams may pick up their exams to take on Dec. 18 between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and on Dec. 19 between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.  School will be dismissed at 3:15 on December 18th and at noon on December 19th.  

Grammar students will have regular school days on the December 18-19, dismissing at noon on the 19th.  No lunches will be provided on that Monday & Tuesday, so all students must pack their lunch.  There will not be any Extended Day after school care offered on Tuesday, December 19th.


We have just a few of the special limited edition t-shirt of “A Christmas Carol” left to sell. The shirts are charcoal gray, with glow in the dark light green outlines and writing. It features the ghost of Marley’s face on the shirt with the words “It’s Not Too Late”. The shirts are $15 for sizes AS - AXL and $18 for 2X and 3X shirts. There are only a few left, so get your’s in the school office before it’s too late!  


Just a reminder to “Follow” and “Like” our Instagram and FB posts! We are on a campaign to make sure the “best-kept secret in Tulsa” is no longer a secret! Help us promote ACA via social media with your photos and content ideas. Mrs. Aspenson and Mrs. Bailey are heading up this social media campaign using Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.  Remember to LIKE and SHARE our stories and pictures that show up in your feed. Join a group of ACA moms to pray for our school, our kids, our teachers & administration, and our families.  They will be meeting on Thursday mornings at 8:15 in room 104 (off of the Great Room across from the 2nd grade classroom).  There are no commitments… just come when you are able to join them!  If you arrive early (before 8:00) you can grab a cup of coffee in the school lobby!


Join us each morning when dropping off your child(ren) for school. Take an extra few minutes to park and start your day with some great fellowship as well as a great cup of Java Dave’s coffee. We have been enjoying these mornings with our teachers and parents and we would love to see you there. The coffee bar is open in the lobby between 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. each morning.
