Selections from Stage and Screen!

This Friday, February 16th at 7:00 p.m. is ACA’s Little Theatre for the spring semester.  Join us for an exciting evening of exhibitions from our Performing Arts Classes.  The first act of the night will feature dramatic monologues and riotous stage combat from our Intro to Theatre students; Tony-award winning music from Musical Theatre Class, Luminous Show Choir, and our ACA 6th graders; swashbuckling sword fights, award-winning monologues, and compelling duets from Performing Shakespeare actors; and a stirring scene from our Pre-Professional Acting students.

And if that weren’t enough entertainment, the highlight of the evening will be the World Premiere of the ACA Short Film, “The Man in the Bowler Hat”! This project was a collaboration between Film Making and Performing Shakespeare classes.  Director, Taylor Drake and the students worked extremely hard on this film and are very excited to present the impressive final cut at Little Theatre.

Seating is limited with tickets sold only at the door for $3 per person.   Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and seating is not reserved.  Concessions will be available both before the show and during intermission.  Copies of “The Man in the Bowler Hat” with additional documentary film footage will be available to purchase that evening as well.  


This Friday at 6:00 p.m. is a Mandatory Parent Meeting for those with students going on the East Coast Trip next month. We will be 31 days from our departure date of March 19!  Last week students were handed a white envelope with a Parent Agreement and a Student Agreement for going on the East Coast Trip. If you have not already turned in these papers to the office, they will be due at the meeting on Friday. Some of the things we will discuss are: the itinerary, how to earn ½ credit for History, necessary paperwork, packing for the trip, and we’ll have a Q & A time at the end.  We will finish in time for you to attend Little Theatre!  If you are not able to attend, you MUST contact Miss Crow at: [email protected] before Friday evening.


Important Save The Date Announcement for Friday, April 27th

ACA has been encouraging young minds to Think, Reason, and Persuade from a distinctly Christian perspective for over 20 years! We are excited to continue building on a rich history of unique and even quirky traditions that make us ACA. We are bringing together ACA families, past, present, and even future, for an evening of music and fellowship. The focus of the evening will be the launching of the NEXT 20 years; or, in keeping with our musical theme, we are “Arranging A New Score!”  So important is this event, that the Board of Governors and Administration have decided to make this the primary focus of this years fundraising efforts. With this in mind, we have decided to forego this years’ Annual Trivia Night. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but encourage you to set aside April 27 for an incredible evening with your ACA family.  Watch for more information coming soon!




Remember that Monday, February 19th, is Presidents Day and there is no school that day!  Enjoy your long weekend!


On Tuesday evening, February 27th, ACA will be hosting our 2nd Annual Christian College Fair from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.  It will be held at Highland Park Christian Church at 5708 E. 31st St, Tulsa.  At the moment we have 14 Christian colleges and universities registered to come visit with students and parents!   We are encouraging all of our high school students to attend!  We are also asking students to register for a barcode before coming.  They don’t have to register to attend, but having a barcode will save them time at each school’s table.  The representative from each school will scan the student’s barcode and the student won’t have to fill out their personal info at each and every table.  Go to to register for your barcode.

There will also be a financial aid presentation from 7:30 - 8:00 p.m.  This is a very helpful resource for families no matter where your student decides to attend college.  There will be time to ask the financial aid representative questions after the presentation.  Please plan on attending this year’s Christian College Fair!  You will learn so much about each college and get your financial aid questions answered - in only two hours!

Coming soon!  Friday, March 2, is our STEM Family Night in the ACA Great Room.  Our 5th graders have been working really hard on their Science Fair projects which will be on display!  There will also be several STEM Stations to visit.  Plan to bring the whole family to this FREE science exploration evening!


The 5th grade class is sponsoring a Spirit Wear Week March 5 - 9 as a fundraiser for their trip to the Hutchison, KS Cosmosphere in May.  Purchase your Spirit Wear wristband the week of Feb. 26 - March 2 before school in the Great Room (from Mrs. Woods) or at lunchtime (from Mrs. Bailey). Only $10 for the whole week or $5 for two days (M/W or T/TH).  Thank you in advance for your support.


The Seniors are sponsoring a Grammar School sock hop on Friday, March 9th from 6:00 - 8:00 at Highland Park Christian Church. Tickets go on sale next week in the school office and they are $5 each. Hot dogs and fries, root beer floats and pie will be for sale, and there will be a hula hoop contest, limbo contest and a best dressed winner. Event is open to all parents, siblings and grandparents of ACA Grammar School students. No limit to tickets.


Re-enrollment information and contracts have been sent out to our families.  To hold your student’s place in their grade, please turn in your enrollment contract by March 30th.  We are already receiving enrollment applications from new students and will begin their enrollment process in March, so don’t delay!  If you have any questions, please call the school office.

The dvd’s and photo cd’s of ACA’s fall production of “A Christmas Carol” are now available in the school office.  The cost is $20 each.



Join a group of ACA moms to pray for our school, our kids, our teachers & administration, and our families.  They will be meeting on Thursday mornings at 8:15 in room 104 (off of the Great Room across from the 2nd grade classroom).  There are no commitments… just come when you are able to join them!  If you arrive early (before 8:00) you can grab a cup of coffee in the school lobby!


Join us each morning when dropping off your child(ren) for school. Take an extra few minutes to park and start your day with some great fellowship as well as a great cup of Java Dave’s coffee. We have been enjoying these mornings with our teachers and parents and we would love to see you there. The coffee bar is open in the lobby between 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. each morning.
