SPECIAL CLASS SCHEDULE FOR MAY 3

Spike Ball is a popular break time activity at ACA and there are Spike Ball teams all over the country.  We will have a special class schedule on Thursday, May 3, to accommodate a Spike Ball Clinic.  Please see the adjusted schedule attached below.

COME ONE, COME ALL, TO THE GREATEST SHOW

You are invited to step right up and attend the Auggie Awards on Saturday, May 5th, 6:30 pm, in the Great Room of ACA. ALL cast members from “A Christmas Carol” and “Madagascar Jr” as well as our parent volunteers will be honored and “Auggie Awards” will be announced. Also, the unveiling of next year’s shows is always a highlight!  This is a 3 hour show that will feature performances from our “Performing Shakespeare” class as well as musical numbers from “Luminis”, 6th grade choir, and Musical Theatre class. We also have some surprises you won’t want to miss. CAST MEMBERS of “A Christmas Carol” and “Madagascar” are asked to dress up (think Winter Court for high school students and Easter Sunday best for Junior High & Grammar School students).  Others attending should dress nicely! TICKETS are $3 per person IN ADVANCE. Tickets purchased at the door are $5 each. Doors open at 6:00 pm. You can purchase your dinner before the show or at intermission: Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Hot Dogs, Chips, Desserts, Drinks, Popcorn, and Candy.  YOU WON’T WANT TO MISS THE GREATEST SHOW! Tickets are now available in the school office. Seating is limited!

SENIOR THESIS NIGHT

Our seniors have worked hard on their papers and presentations and will be presenting their thesis papers on Friday evening, May 11, at 7:00 in the ACA Great Room.  Please come and support our seniors!

Also this summer we’ll have 3 musical theatre camps for the Summer Weeks of the Arts. Week One will include “Pajama Party” (for grades K-3) and “Annie” Master Class (for grades 5-10) and Week Two will be “Seussical, Kids” (for students entering grades 3-10).  Note: “Seussical, Kids” and “Pajama Party” have FREE Audition placement workshops on Saturday, May 12th.  Please see the flyer and registration form attached below for more information. There are limits to camp sizes so get your registration in as soon as possible.

SHOW CHOIR AUDITIONS

The ACA show choir, Luminis, will be hosting a FREE Audition Workshop followed by AUDITIONS on Thursday, May 10th, 3:30 - 6:30 pm.  Luminis is for students entering grades 9-12, (girls and guys) and have vocal experience. Audition packets will be available in the school office this Friday. There are recommendation forms for House sponsors to complete in the audition packet, so don’t wait too long to get the packet!  This is not just a class you “join” … it is a class you commit to. FINANCIAL AID

The FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment program is open for applications for financial assistance for the 2018-2019 school year. Financial assistance is available for our families as needed. We understand that private education is a sacrifice. For that reason, we want to make sure our tuition is one of the lowest in the greater Tulsa area. We also do what we can to assist those for whom a private Classical Christian Education might otherwise not be possible. If you know of a family whom you feel should consider ACA, please encourage them to set up a time to tour or shadow in the very near future. Don’t let financial circumstances impede a family from an introduction to ACA.  And please remember that if you have received financial aid this year, you must still apply for financial aid for the 2018-2019 school year.

CHANGE TO FACTS PAYMENT PLAN OPTIONS

If you are not paying tuition in full or using the two payment (at semester) payment plan through the front office, the FACTS payment program allows you to set up monthly payments. However, PLEASE NOTE that FACTS can no longer accept credit card payments beginning with the next school year. Changes to the credit card laws no longer allow them to keep credit card information on file for monthly drafts.  They will only be able to accept bank draft (or ACH) payments for this process. If this change will adversely impact your payment plan, please reach out to Mr. Ahrens at [email protected] so that other arrangements may be considered.

As a reminder, the payment plans are as follows:

12-month plan: Payments start in May or June. FACTS contracts must be submitted in April or early May.

11-month plan: Payments start in June or July. FACTS contracts must be submitted in May or early June.

10-month plan: Payments start in July or August. FACTS contracts must be submitted in June or early July.

Our FACTS payment enrollment forms are now available in the office.  If you have questions about our tuition payment plans, please contact the school office or Mr. Ahrens at the above email address.

MOMS PRAYER TIME

Join a group of ACA moms to pray for our school, our kids, our teachers & administration, and our families.  They will be meeting on Thursday mornings at 8:15 in room 104 (off of the Great Room across from the 2nd grade classroom).  There are no commitments… just come when you are able to join them! If you arrive early (before 8:00) you can grab a cup of coffee in the school lobby!

COFFEE & FELLOWSHIP

Join us each morning when dropping off your child(ren) for school. Take an extra few minutes to park and start your day with some great fellowship as well as a great cup of Java Dave’s coffee. We have been enjoying these mornings with our teachers and parents and we would love to see you there. The coffee bar is open in the lobby between 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. each morning.

OFFICE HOURS

The school office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  If you need to reach someone outside of office hours, please email [email protected] .
